Introduction

Hello. I am treading into new territory on the advice of a very good friend. I thought I would introduce myself and hope that not only do you find my posts interesting but you continue to follow this journey with me.
Who I am. I am many things:

I am a mother and a daughter.
I am a mother of four. All of my children have attention problems but my eldest has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of Autism. This journey has been difficult but not without rewards.

I am the eldest daughter of 3 children but only grew up with one sibling after my parents were divorced. One day I will divulge the mysteries of my upbringing but for today I think this will suffice. Believe me, I was raised in a non-conventional way in several ways. 

I am a volunteer.
I have volunteered for Boys Scouts of America & Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. I believe in the majority of values these programs have to offer but have had to live with the prejudices as well. I currently work with a dog rescue organization, Dogworksohio. I devote my time to fostering and helping at our adoption events.

I have been a fraternity sister, sister of the heart and sister by DNA, the latter 2 I am still.

I am a student as well as a teacher.
The past 8 years I have gone back to school and earned my high school diploma, Bachelor's in Arts and Sciences and will complete my Master's in Education within the year. I am currently working to receive my teaching license.

I am currently unemployed.
I have to complete testing for my license and then apply for the license. Hopefully in December I will have my license.

I am social.
I have a facebook page and love to play Farmville and Pioneerville apps.

I am a gamer.
Gamer in the sense of I love non-traditional board games and role playing games. D&D is my first love but Deadlands is my favorite game. Let me explain non-traditional boardgames. These are games that are educational and fun at the same time. Strategy games, resource games and cooperative games are some of the ones I play, such as Kingsburg, Ticket to Ride, America, Puerto Rico, Betrayal House on the Hill and Pandemic to name a few.

Now that you have a sense of who I am, let me discuss what I will write. This is a bit more complex because I may write about anything that could come to mind. I warn you now. It may be controversial, political, absolutely a bunch of nonsense or a look at the hardships of raising and coping with an adult child with Asperger's.
